After months of preparation, design iterations, and a long day of competition, our team had an unforgettable performance at the Central North San Antonio Hill Country League Tournament. Competing against many talented teams from across the league, the TechnoWizards achieved an incredible milestone—winning both the Inspire Award and becoming the Tournament Winning Alliance along with our alliance partner Weeping Angels 29999.

Day of Competition

The league tournament was a full day of intense matches, strategic alliance selections, and technical problem-solving. Teams brought their best robots, innovative designs, and months of engineering work to the field.

Throughout qualification matches, the TechnoWizards demonstrated strong teamwork, consistent robot performance, and adaptability during each round. There were both ups and downs and, after facing some unfortunate static problems, we ultimately ranked 3rd in qualifications. After the qualification rounds concluded, our team had the honor of participating in alliance selection, where Weeping Angels chose us to compete in the elimination rounds.

Tournament Winning Alliance

Working closely with Weeping Angels, the TechnoWizards fought through a series of challenging elimination matches, each of which required careful coordination, quick adjustments, and trust between teams.

With strong collaboration and strategy, we advanced through the bracket and ultimately won the tournament, earning the title of Winning Alliance. The victory reflected not only technical performance but also the Coopertition and Gracious Professionalism that defines FIRST competitions.

Inspire Award – FIRST Place

In addition to success on the field, we were deeply honored to receive the Inspire Award (1st Place) at the tournament. The Inspire Award is the highest honor in an FTC tournament, recognizing a team that exemplifies the ideals of FIRST both on and off the field.

This award reflects the team’s work in several areas, including our innovative robot design and engineering, strong team collaboration and organization, outreach and community engagement, and commitment to the principles of FIRST and Gracious Professionalism

Receiving the Inspire Award means that the TechnoWizards demonstrated excellence not only in competition but also in how we contribute to the broader STEM community.

Proud of Our Team and Community

This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of our team members, mentors, coaches, supportive families, and sponsors and donors. The long hours and nights spent designing, programming, testing, and refining our robot truly paid off during this tournament.

We are incredibly proud of what our team accomplished and grateful to be part of such an inspiring robotics community.

Looking Ahead

Winning both the Inspire Award and Tournament Championship at the FiT-Central North San Antonio Hill Country League Tournament is an exciting milestone for TechnoWizards 16458. As we continue our journey this season, we look forward to building on this success, improving our robot, and representing our league at regionals!
